About

A common MLS fan who wants to get involved in the Fantasy MLS community. The blog name “Ball in the Woods” is from my passion as a futbol fan while professionally working with the Forest Service out in the woods.

My entire soccer experience started when I was in kindergarten playing recreational soccer. Tho I never played for school, I continued playing until I went to college. After school I played five years of indoor soccer. My best position is goalkeeper, but I enjoyed being out on the field more.

Growing up in Idaho with no MLS team, I don’t consider myself a die hard fan of anyone team. The teams I follow the most are Portland & Seattle even tho RSL was closer by a few hours. So to have Timbers & Sounders be MLS Champions in back to back years is awesome!

My first professionally attended games were the double header Costa Rica vs Cuba and USA vs Belize games during the 2013 Gold Cup at what was then called Jeld-Wen field in Portland. I also attended Orlando vs LA May 2015 in what was Orlando’s first MLS home win; the Basque Soccer Friendly in Boise, Idaho July 2015 between Athletic Bilbao and Club Tijuana; RSL vs Colorado April 2016; and Colorado vs Dallas July 2016.
